Long time no see..

Hello there, i haven't quite been in the blogging mood lately. But i am back and it's June! While on my hiatus, i have however been doing a lot of reading, of both the blog and book variety.
and watching MOVIES ! i thought today i would share with you a few of my all time favorite movies, so off we go !

- Almost Famous
I think i first saw this movie when i was in like 6th grade, and it scared me a wee bit, because i was a bit sheltered. But now, on now! i LOVE it. For me it is like a dream. i have always had a thing for the hippy type and it is just really excellent. It isn't like a movie that i like to watch when i need comfort or like on a cozy friday night. It's like a sit and pay attention movie :)

- She's the Man
Oh this movie. Now this is a comfort movie! i have seen it so many times that i can't even really see it any more, you know? like i know it too well. But when i first saw this little teen comedy i literally laughed so hard i just about fell off my chair. And trust me, i usually don't laugh out loud at movies. There is something about Amanda Bynes that is just so lovable and utterly hilarious though :)

- Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging
Before i saw the movie i read the first 4 books and they are hilarious and adorable. The movie really compares well too. I didn't find out about it until i was through the second book and i was beyond excited! It is just perfect. British, strong female lead, and fit young men ;)
It was love.

- Remember The Titans
Now this movie was a surprise to me too, because we all know full well that i am pretty much a chick flick girl and always will be, but i just fell in love with the characters in this film. Sports movies always get you all involved and cheering too, which is just heartfelt. I first watched it in school in 7th grade, and i remember every time we had a fire drill or bomb threat (which occurred surprisingly often) me and my good friend would sing Ain't No Mountain High Enough at the top of our lungs. And to this day it is still one of my favorite songs.

- The Holiday
This flick got pretty bad reviews so we were kinda leery to see it but our whole family loved it! i think this was the beginning of my love for Kate Winslet. It is a really well written rom-com and it is simple yet so entertaining. Plus i will never pass up a movie involving Britain.

- Pretty in Pink
Pretty much a classic, nuff said ? No kidding. It is just awesome. Molly Ringwald is a bit annoying, but Duckie? and Blaine? Oh Andrew McCarthy, if only you still looked like that and not a creepy old man. Some are still miffed that Molly didn't end up with the Duck Man, but i like it just how it is. Plus James Spader. :)

- Notting Hill
My mum has been watching this movie since i was born. So it is pretty much a childhood classic for me, along with Sleepless in Seattle. I remember her fast-forwarding through the dirty parts ;) Again, set in England and it is just a great story. Relatively normal, Hugh Grant, book store owner falls in love with gorgeous movie star, Julia Roberts. Nice.

So that's all for now, i trust you know that i have many hundreds more favorites but this gives you a taste. I know really no one is reading this anyway, but i do enjoy a good list.
xo Rub&Flo :)
